Jo Hayes 

Jo HayesJoanna, known as 'Jo', grew up on the Isle of Wight in a large Christian family and attended since a baby Ryde Baptist Church. She committed her life to the Lord at the age of 16 years following attendance at an early Spring Harvest event in North Wales. She was subsequently baptised with one of her sisters a few months after.

At the age of 19 years she joined Surrey Police serving as a Police Officer for 30 years, mainly as a Detective on the Investigation side. For 5 years she worked within the Public Protection arena, managing child protection, domestic abuse, missing persons and adults at risk teams. Her final role was as Senior Investigating Officer on the joint collaborated Major Crime Unit working across both Surrey and Sussex policing counties.

Since 'retiring' she has held several part time roles with a Counselling Charity, as Church Administrator and is currently employed for three mornings a week at an independent girl’s school in Surrey.

She lives at Frimley, Surrey and has been a member at Frimley Baptist Church since 1990. During this time she held many volunteer roles within the children and youth and worship team areas. She currently serves on their Ministry Leadership Team overseeing the 'seniors' portfolio.

She loves dogs, running and dragon boat/outrigger paddling. She has directed her passion for flowers into a 'hobby' business (Jo's Flowers); a bespoke fresh floristry service for weddings and events. She has two adult children, Joshua and Rebecca both living away now at Guildford working and at Bristol University respectively.

She joined SEBA on 15th January 2024 serving part time as the Safeguarding Lead for the Association.
