There is a safeguarding introductory guide on the Baptists Together website, this guide would be good for anyone who is new into work with children, young people or adults at risk, and as a refresher for anyone who is planning to come to training. it can be found here.
If you are interested in becoming a safeguarding trainer for churches across the association please get in touch and ask for an application form, or if you are just interested in finding out more please contact us here
* Anyone who completed the online training during the pandemic is covered for 4 years** and does not need to renew their training until those 4 years are up. The online version acted the same as face-to-face training during this time.
**There are two exceptions to the 4 year cover:
-
Ministers who did online training must attend face to face training within 2 ½ years from the date they completed the online version.
-
It is recommended that anyone for whom the online version was the first training completed should attend face to face training as soon as is practically possible.
