Hosting Safeguarding Training
Normally safeguarding training is held on a Saturday, with levels 2 and 3 running consecutively (level 2: 10am-1pm [with a 30-minute break for lunch]; level 3: 1.30pm-4.30pm] however, if you are looking for a different day, please let us know and we will endeavour to accommodate you.
Requirements for hosting training
Please note, to host safeguarding training, you will need:
-
a room capable of sitting up to 40 people around tables in small groups and with the capability to project a PowerPoint presentation (with audio) that can be seen clearly & heard by all attendees (you will also need to ensure that someone is available, on the day, to help set up the IT );
-
somewhere for attendees to eat lunch (if you are hosting levels 2 & 3) and make/provide drinks;
-
parking facilities for up to 30 vehicles (this can be in your own car park, or at nearby public car parks or on-street parking)
Terms and Conditions for hosting training
-
All bookings to host a training session must be made through the Administrator, Steph Tidy.
-
The host church will be asked to indicate how many spaces they wish to reserve at the time of booking (this is to allow us to know how many spaces can be opened up to other churches, if any - as the optimum number, for each training level, is 30)
-
Once the Administrator has agreed the booking with both the trainer and the host church, the host church will be invoiced a £50 non-refundable deposit. Please note, the training event is not confirmed until the deposit has been received by SEBA. The host church will be invoiced for the balance of the money after the training has taken place, unless they book the whole session; in which case they will be invoiced for the full payment at the time their booking is confirmed, rather than being asked to just pay a deposit.
-
The names of the delegates attending from the host church should be confirmed in writing at least two weeks before the training session. Please notify us of any last-minute updates to the delegates list prior to the event.
-
Training certificates will be sent out after the event and once payment, in-full, has been received.
-
Please ensure you carry out any necessary risk assessment for hosting BUGB Safeguarding training at your church, as this is your responsibility and not that of the Association or Trainer.
