Richard Stanford Beale 

Richard has been the Operations Manager for SEBA since September 2023. He took up the part time role after a long and varied career in local government, most recently with Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Richard grew up in Tunbridge Wells, where he attended Sunday school and was confirmed into the church of England. He became a Christian at aged 16 after attending evangelical outreach meetings which were a regular feature in the town at that time. Around the same time, he met his wife, Elaine and got married in 1985.

Richard and Elaine moved to Ashford in 1986 and started attending Willesborough Baptist Church (WBC). They jointly led the youth and children’s work at WBC for many years, whilst bringing up their two daughters, Laura and Helen. Aside from attending a New Frontiers church for a while, they have remained at WBC ever since.

Richard and Elaine now have two grandchildren which keep them busy, as well as a cocker spaniel and a camper van. When he has time, you may also see Richard flying over the Kent or Sussex hills under his paraglider.
