Revd Andy Twilley
Andy grew up in a Christian home and aged 11 sensed God calling him into ministry. Ever since then he has had a real passion to fulfil that God given purpose with a deep desire to see ministers supported and churches become those dynamic organisms God has designed them to be.
He was ordained in 1986 and has served in a number of Baptist churches in Essex, Birmingham and the East Midlands. For 3 years he was Bible promotion manager with Scripture Union followed by a number of years working as a director for the Nationwide Christian Trust.
For the 7 ½ years leading up to his current role with SEBA he was seconded by the Baptist Union to work with the URC Southern Synod as their Training and Development officer where he worked with ministers, elders and whole churches across the South East.
With high levels of energy and drive, his role with SEBA will bring together three of his passions:
-
Supporting and encouraging ministers
-
Helping churches discern and achieve their God given potential
Exploring new and innovative ways to demonstrate and declare the good news of the Kingdom and develop effective strategies for reaching out. Andy is married to Louise and has 3 sons, 3 step sons and 5 grandchildren. To relax he enjoys walking, upcycling things for the garden with wood, and time away in his campervan.
